# Welcome to Wirecard GitLab ## Please read the documentation - Only For First time Users **For GitLab Onboarding, please refer the [documentation](https://confluence.wirecard.sys/pages/viewpage.action?spaceKey=CI&title=GitLab+On-Boarding)** Great!! Now you made it so far, you can now play around in GitLab and create your own groups and projects * GitLab is a **self service portal** so you can create your own repositories/groups and add users to access it * If you need access to any particular groups or repositories within your department/team, please check with your line manager and make sure you can access to the group or repository. * Groups and Repositories/Projects access should only be requested with the Group / Repository Owner. **Please do not create a ticket to Service Desk for access to repository** * If you want to have access permissions for a repository or group within your department/team, find out who is the repository owner or group owner and send a mail to the owner, with your line manager in cc, requesting access for the repository / group. * You can check with your colleagues if they could find out the repository / group owner within your department/team. * If you need to access a repository outside of your department, please send an email to the appropriate department/team manager, requesting access for the repository / group, with approval of your line manager. * Enjoy coding and collaboration For any issues related to GitLab, Please raise a ticket in MyIT or contact us through the **#gitlab** slack channel For Feature requests, please raise a ticket in MyIT > GitLab > Feature requests
